位處台中山線的豐原，曾以其富庶豐饒的水土資源，在臺灣歷史舞台佔有一席之地，更享有「豐葦之原」的美譽。如今，史韻與土地風光轉化成內涵，散見於小鎮的建築痕跡與飲食文化中。本地兄妹檔 Vincent 和 Codi 在此氣息之下薰陶成長，歷經長年國內外各地奔波的工作型態後，決定在邁入壯年之際，把對自身生命態度的熱情、與所愛之人相聚的珍貴記憶，傾注在兩人齊心成立的新型態早午餐店之中，歷時一年悉心籌備，並以英國詩人 Dylan Thomas 詩句「不要溫和地走入那個良夜」為命名靈感 ——「良夜 Midsommarnatt」於焉誕生。

良夜 Midsommarnatt 始於一個感性的理念，隨著設計團隊加入一同激盪，將空間的功能面與所乘載的情感訴求明確落出，鎖定以北歐特有的生活步調為延伸脈絡，定調出「座標豐原，時區北歐」的主軸，意指即使身體位處在亞熱帶小島中部，仍能在踏入此空間後，感受到北歐夏季的愜意歡快。

Nestled in the Taichung mountain line, Fengyuan has long held a distinguished place in Taiwan’s history, once flourishing due to its abundant natural resources and earning the poetic title “The Land of Fertile Reeds.” Today, its rich heritage and scenic landscapes have transformed into cultural depth, reflected in the town’s architectural remnants and culinary traditions. Siblings Vincent and Codi grew up immersed in this atmosphere, and after years of traveling and working across different regions, they decided to channel their passion for life and cherished memories with loved ones into a new concept brunch café. After a year of meticulous planning, their vision took form, inspired by the evocative words of British poet Dylan Thomas: “Do not go gentle into that good night.” Thus, Midsommarnatt Kafe was born. To translate this unique sentiment into spatial form, they collaborated with STRAIGHT DESIGN, a studio known for its ability to distill abstract commercial concepts and cultural nuances into tangible spatial experiences. Under the direction of Alfie, the design team seamlessly integrated the café’s emotional narrative with functional space planning, setting the tone for a design philosophy encapsulated in the phrase: “Coordinates: Fengyuan, Time Zone: Scandinavia.” This concept suggests that, despite being in the subtropical heart of Taiwan, stepping into Midsommarnatt evokes the leisurely and radiant atmosphere of a Nordic summer.
選址於外觀色調樸實的街道，良夜 Midsommarnatt 的亮橘鐵件玻璃門面如同永恆燦爛的夕陽，與原建築物內的紅磨石子地板相映成趣，成為街角一道不可忽視的暖光。良夜 Midsommarnatt 品牌理念中不停被提及的北歐天空狀態成為空間用色靈感，質型設計擷取夏季的永晝現象，把日不落的色彩從天空捎入早午餐店裡，在大門口便能一覽散落於之中的日光黃、暖陽橘和夜光藍。
Set within a street of understated facades, Midsommarnatt stands out with its striking bright orange metal-framed glass entrance, reminiscent of an eternal sunset. This warm glow harmonizes with the original red terrazzo flooring, making the café an unmissable presence on the corner.
對光的著墨除了顯現在色彩的配置上，質型更運用有色壓克力來豐富空間的光影，壓克力材質具備一定的透光度，能在燈光穿透時展現多樣的顏色效果，為良夜 Midsommarnatt 創造具玩味的視覺層次。最後，一整室豐富活潑的顏色，則交由淺色樺木夾板和天空藍磁磚的基調溫柔平衡，櫃檯處和樑柱所使用的木皮進一步染色為午夜藍和翠綠，以此透過相較沈穩的配色，加強整體空間的立體度。
作為早午餐店，良夜 Midsommarnatt 的座位配置考量到現代多樣化的關係型態，無論是一人獨處、三兩好友、小家庭、大家庭，都能在此舒適享受，吧台處更設有立飲區，提供一處讓咖啡愛好者能近距離觀看咖啡沖煮過程的搖滾區。推開大門入內，一旁的窗台區選用丹麥品牌 & Traditional 吊燈和 HAY 吧台椅，以此貫穿北歐國度的核心概念，旁邊的大組座位區則特地選配臺灣的柒木設計牛奶燈，傢俱的圓潤線條與訂製桌板的弧形線條相輔相成，為空間增添趣味與輕鬆的氣息。
As a brunch café, Midsommarnatt was designed to accommodate various social dynamics. Whether visitors arrive alone, with close friends, or as part of a larger family gathering, the seating layout ensures comfort and inclusivity. The bar area even features a standing section, offering coffee enthusiasts a front-row seat to the brewing process. Inside, the window-side seating area is adorned with Danish design elements, including &Tradition pendant lights and HAY bar stools, reinforcing the café’s Nordic identity. Meanwhile, the main seating area integrates Taiwanese brand KIMU Design’s Milk Lamps, whose soft curves and custom tabletops introduce a sense of warmth and playfulness.
懸掛於中央的主燈設計靈感來自北歐人在仲夏節當天歡慶所圍繞著的仲夏柱（Maypole），象徵集體慶典的歡樂與團聚，期望到訪良夜 Midsommarnatt 的人擁有同樣的喜悅感受。另一項則是散落在雙人用餐區中，那一個個簡約而溫潤的餐椅，採用穩固的箱型結構以樺木夾板製作並保留榫接細節，斷面細節則以貫穿於空間中的亮橘呈現，不僅視覺上俐落、乘坐起來舒適，底部的置物空間設計也滿足了功能面的需求。
